'Velveteeny' offers the same silky smooth, deep burgundy foliage with large feathery plumes of Purple to pink blooms as it's big brother 'Royal Purple', but in a petit, dwarf form. Maturing at a mere 4', 'Velveteeny' is as versatile as it is exquisite, with its compact, rounded shape and brilliant color a dazzling addition to any sunny landscape. Purple smoke bush is able to grow in a wide variety of soils and ranges of pH. Little to no pruning is necessary, lightly pruning in spring can encourage more blooms.
